As Certified Veterinary Technicians, our role is to provide in-home care that aligns with your prescribed treatment plan. We act as an extension of your team, ensuring that patients receive the support they need in a low-stress home environment. Our goal is to complement your services, not replace them, by improving compliance with medications, post-surgical care, and chronic disease management.
If we notice any changes or worsening of a patient’s condition, we will immediately notify the client and direct them to contact your hospital for further evaluation. We will not diagnose, prescribe, or provide emergency care, ensuring that your hospital remains the primary source of medical decision-making for the pet.
We provide detailed documentation of all in-home care visits, including treatments performed, medications administered, and observations about the pet’s condition. This information is shared with the client and will be sent to your hospital via email to keep you informed and updated on the patient’s progress.
We offer in-home nursing services such as:
Medication Administration (Oral, Injectable, or Topical)
Subcutaneous (SQ) Fluid Therapy
Bandage Changes and Wound Care
Post-surgical Rehabilitation Assistance
Chronic Disease Management Support
We focus on carrying out the treatments and care plans you prescribe while reinforcing client education and compliance. For a full list of services, please visit the Services Page.
We make it clear to clients that we are not veterinarians and that our services are supplemental to the care provided by your hospital. We encourage clients to contact you for all medical advice, diagnoses, or changes to their pet’s treatment plan.
We use Fear Free techniques to minimize stress and ensure the safety of both the pet and ourselves. In some cases, we may recommend pre-visit sedation or anxiety medications prescribed by your team. If a pet cannot be safely handled, we will refer the client back to your hospital for care.
Our goal is to provide compassionate, low-stress care while fostering collaboration with your hospital. We aim to enhance patient outcomes by following your treatment plans and ensuring clients feel confident and supported in caring for their pets at home.
You can refer clients by sharing our contact information or directing them to our website to contact us. There is a Referral Partner form that we require you to fill out and sign. We will supply your hospital with brochures or other materials to make the referral process seamless.
We value open communication and collaboration. If you have any concerns or questions about our services, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to discuss how we can best support your hospital and your patients.
Veterinary hospitals can partner with Right at Home Animal Nursing in two ways:
Referral Partnership: You can refer your clients to us for in-home care, and we will handle the details. In this case, we will bill the client directly for the service.
Direct Partnership (1099 Contractor): We can work directly with your practice to provide in-home care for your clients. You may include the service as part of your client offerings, and we will manage the care in the home. Contact us for service rates.
Both options allow you to extend your care to patients in the comfort of their home, providing a valuable service to your clients.
